Famous Greek singer Antonis Remos in Belgrade arena on October 3rd!



 

Antonis Remos was born in Dusseldorf, Germany. He stayed there until the age of 12 and since 1982 he lives permanently in Greece. Since the age of 15 she lived in Thessalonica where he finished high school. During his school years he was involved with music and learned how to play the guitar on his own.
In Easter '95 he performs in Athens for the first time, having already worked in Thessalonica in the music club "DIOGENIS PALACE" along with Dimitris Mitropanos, Stefanos Korkolis and Marios Tokas.

During the same year he sings a contract with Sony Music and orientates himself towards a music career as a pop singer, with the assistance of the music producer Stavros Arapidis, as his name is the talk of the town as the next great pop singer.In 1996 his first album titled "ANTONIS REMOS" is released and confirms everybody's anticipation, as the album goes gold within few months and platinum in less than a year. He is now one of the most promising, young pop singers and his live performances are a huge success in "HANTRES" and "DIOGENIS PALACE".

April 1998: his second album titled "kairos na pame parakato" is released. The album sold 25.000 copies within a month and goes gold while by the end of summer 1998 goes platinum counting 70.000 copies.December 1999: His new album with many remarkable associates was released. For the first time, the composers Christos Nikolopoulos, Stamatis Spanoudakis and the lyricist Antonis Andrikakis write for Antonis Remos. The album goes gold within a few days.

March 2000 the soundtrack of the movie "I agapi einai elapahantas", music by Minoas Matsas, is released. Antonis Remos sang the homonymous song and one more as well. In the album also participated Tolis Voskopoulos, Pashalis Terzis and Tania Nassibian.

In winter 2002 he sings with Alkistis Protopsalti in Studio Piraeus. The success is huge and they took it to Thessalonica in Politia club in August 2003, and to a tour in America and Canada.October 29, 2003, Antonis Remos' new album is released with the title "Mia anapnoi". The songs were by George Theofanous. The album, as usual, went platinum within the first days of its release.In winter 2003 Antonis Remos forms the most unexpected stage company and one of the most artistically interesting collaborations. He shares the stage with Mimis Plessas. Next with George Theofanous and Kostas Hatzis, John Spanos and Antonis Vardis were the ones that followed. Along with Antonis Remos was singing Helena Paparizou, at the beginning of her solo career and the promising Gregoris Petrakos.

In April 2004, Antonis Remos performs Mikis Theodorakis' song "An thymitheis sto oneiro mou", which is released in a CD single that apart from "An thymistheis sto oneiro mou" - lyrics by the great poet Nikos Gatsos -also includes a new version of the song "Agapi mou", a poem by John Theodorakis, as two orchestral versions of "An thymitheis sto oneiro mou" by Mikis Theodorakis Orchestra. The versions dressed the homonymous TV series by Kakia Igerinou.

In summer 2004 the orchestra "MIKIS THEODORAKIS" presented the music Mikis Theodorakis composed for the cinema and for the theatre. A handful of songs that dressed movies and contemporary plays. The songs were performed by Antonis Remos along with the actors Petros Filippidis, Natasa Manisali and John Samsiaris who recited the texts written by Kakias Igerinou.

In August 2004 Antonis Remos participates in the Olympic Games closing ceremony in Athens Olympic Stadium.Winter 2004, the CD single "Hamogelase" is released; music and lyrics by George Theofanous while George Ntalaras participates in the song "To mono pou ksero".Right after that, a live album is released, recorded in the Studio Piraeus in winter 2003, containing his collaboration with the 5 great composers, Mimis Plessas, George Theofanous, Kostas Hatzis, John Spanos and Antonis Vardis. This album is so unique and goes platinum right away. November 2004 Antonis Remos starts live performances with George Ntalaras in Athens Arena.

In spring 2005 he is awarded the platinum plaque for the albums "Hamogelase" and "Live" while he records a duet with John Parios titled "Ki eiha tosa na sou po", music by Antonis Vardis.Right after that Antonis Remos serves in the army.In winter 2005 he sings with Michalis Hatzigiannis in Athens Arena.At the same time he releases his new album "San anemos" lyrics by George Theofanous which contains three amazing collaborations. In the homonymous song we find the unique Marinella, George Margaritis in the song "To kormi" while in the song "Gia 100 zoes-Per cento vite" we find the Italian singer Massimo Di Cataldo. The album goes platinum and the conferment takes place in Athens Arena on 14 February during a live concert which was attended by 4.000 people.

In winter 2006 Antonis Remos sings in Athens Arena with the greatest Greek artist, Marinella, who returns on the stage after a 15 year absence to perform with him. It was the most successful collaboration of the decade!The beginning of his shows coincide with the release of a luxury "Best of" compilation that celebrates the 10 years since the release of his first album, a triple album that contains all his greatest hits. 36 of his most successful songs were gathered, some of those in remixed versions by international djs and remixers. A 20 page booklet was included in this edition, containing photographs and information about his 10 year career. This release goes platinum as well.

In April 2007 Marinella and Antonis Remos start their live performances in Thessalonica.In June 2007 Antonis Remos starts his first complete tour in Greece. Twenty five cities are the hosts of a unique concert with the highest sound and vision standards ever occurred in Greece. Twenty five cities, 25 sold out shows together with Onirama, a new upcoming band from his hometown, Thessalonica. The tour ended with a great show in Tae Kwon Do stadium, which was attended by 13.000 people!At the same time the album "Antonis Remos in Concert feat. Onirama" recorded in Mad TV Secret Concert in February 2007 in the Olympic Fencing stadium is released.

In November 2007 he sings again, after public demand, with the greatest Greek singer, Marinella. It was an extension of their successful collaboration, the most successful collaboration of the decade!In March 2008 Antonis Remos and Sakis Rouvas sang together in a worldwide tour, giving 10 amazing concerts in America, Canada, Australia and Africa.In winter 2008 Antonis Remos sings in Athens Arena, all by himself this time, presenting a super show. His live performances are an attraction not only for the Athenians but for everyone. The success is huge and will continue until the end of May. The breakthrough band Émigré from Thessalonica and Athina Routsi accompany him on stage.

His new album is released at the same time titled "Alithies kai psemata". Seven amazing songs by Antonis Vardis, songs by Stefanos Korkolis, Harris Varthakouris , Christos Dantis, Kyriakos Papadopoulos, Kyriakos Papadopoulos, konstantinos Baltazanis, Apostolis Valaroutsos and lyrics by Vasilis Giannopoulos, Nikos Moraitis, Myrto Kontova, Nikos Gritsis. The album goes gold straight after its release.From March 16, Antonis Remos will set off his first European tour in Brussels, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, London, Istanbul, Belgrade and Tel Aviv are to follow. In Summer 2009 Antonis Remos will tour Greece with Émigré.
